OFAC SDN.CSV snapshot diffs: what changed between official extracts
Official SDN.CSV is published by OFAC / U.S. Treasury. This page is not that download. RegChange Feed compares consecutive public SDN.CSV snapshots and publishes dated diffs: which rows were added, removed, or field-modified. Historical changelogs keep those dated records.
Official SDN.CSV vs dated diffs
Need the official file? Use OFAC / Treasury. Need what changed between two published extracts? Use RegChange Feed dated changelogs.
- Official list service: OFAC Sanctions List Service
- Official SDN.CSV export: Sanctions List Service SDN.CSV · treasury.gov/ofac/downloads/sdn.csv
RegChange Feed does not host or replace the official file. We report row-level movement from consecutive public snapshots.
Why CSV diff ≠ “what changed today” on Treasury.gov
Searching for “OFAC SDN list changes today” correctly lands on OFAC Recent Actions and related official pages. Those are the primary narrative sources. RegChange Feed does not try to replace them. We compare consecutive public SDN CSV snapshots and report row-level movement for analysts who already start from the official file.
A practical CSV comparison workflow
- Open the RegChange Feed public changelog and select the newest snapshot date (UTC-oriented).
- Read counts first: added, removed, and modified versus the prior snapshot.
- Review entry-level rows when counts are non-zero, then verify against the linked official OFAC publication or SDN.CSV export.
- Record what you checked and when—for your own audit trail. We do not assess whether any party or transaction is permitted.
Modified entries matter
Additions get attention. Field-level modifications (aliases, programs, identifiers) are easy to miss in a narrative bulletin. Dated CSV diffs surface those rows so your team can decide whether a re-screen or file note is warranted—inside your own program, not ours.
