OFAC SDN CSV changelog explained
An OFAC SDN CSV changelog is not a screening decision and not a replacement for Treasury Recent Actions. It is a dated record of differences between consecutive published list snapshots: who appeared, who disappeared from the extract, and which fields changed.
Fields that make a CSV changelog useful
- Snapshot dates — current and prior dates used for the comparison.
- Counts — added, removed, modified, and unchanged.
- Entry identifiers — such as
ent_numwhen present in the official extract. - Official source links — back to Treasury/OFAC materials so analysts can verify independently.
- Clear scope — facts from public data only; no legal conclusions about parties or transactions.
